Open to anyone interested in learning about dogs from another perspective :)
Join the Ethical Book Club by Nordic Dog Trainer to complement your knowledge about dogs beyond training. In our book club sessions we will be reading books on dogs: what are dogs as species, what makes our relationship with dogs so special, what is their place and role in society, and much more!
The book club will be conducted by Eva. She joined Nordic as an Executive Assistant in January 2023 and she is currently the Operations Manager. She holds a degree in English and has a passion for books, she’s a bookworm and a translator. She will guide us through the different books we will be reading and enable a discussion among all the participants. The book club is an informal space for people interested in dogs beyond training. So grab your cup of tea and join us for interesting discussions!
How does it work?
Starting on Tuesday February 20th there will be a Zoom meeting once every three months, on the third Tuesday of the month, at 7 PM CET (Central European Time). All meetings will be recorded and uploaded in your private Facebook group where you can also discuss the books. Here are the dates of the meetings in 2024:
February 20th - Raymond Coppinger & Lorna Coppinger's What is a dog?
May 21st - Wonderdog by Jules Howard
August 20th
November 19th
Please note in between sessions we will invite and do our best to have a separate extra session with the authors, so that we can have a discussion with them after reading and having discussed the books.
Your subscription fee is to cover our admin costs and Eva's time to prepare the meetings.
The first book we will start with will be Raymond Coppinger & Lorna Coppinger's What is a dog?
